Einzig die ein oder andere visuelle Spielerei weiß zu gefallen. Insgesamt entbehrlich.
HAZE
Shinya Tsukamoto (2005) 6/10
Hier gelingt Tsukamoto eine durchaus bedrückende atmosphärische Darstellung klaustrophobischer Enge. Man fühlt als Zuschauer beinahe körperlich die Finsternis und Angst, der wie Labormäuse in einem Beton-Labyrinth eingeschlossenen Protagonisten. Die Verwandtschaft zum bekannteren CUBE ist offensichtlich. Der surreal inszenierte Schluss des Films lässt vermuten, dass Tsukamoto ein großer Fan von Kubriks 2001 ist. Am Ende bleiben alle Frage über Sinn und Unsinn des Betonsarges offen und der Zuschauer kann sich in wildeste Interpretationen versteigen. Er kann es aber auch, so wie ich, lassen.

Die Handlung selbst bietet leider nur die genreüblichen Stereotype, stört aber damit auch nicht weiter den visuellen Genuss.
